Social Activity module overview

An overview of the Social Activity module, covering how to create and schedule social media posts, monitor brand mentions and interactions, and review social performance insights.

Written by Fatma Abid

The Social Activity module lets you manage your brand's social media presence from within Acteol. You can create and schedule posts, monitor mentions and interactions across your social channels, and review performance insights all in one place, without needing to switch between individual platform tools.

What you can do

  • Create and schedule posts across your connected social media accounts.

  • Monitor brand mentions, comments, and interactions across your social channels.

  • View and manage incoming social activity through the Social Wall.

  • Review social performance insights to understand engagement and reach.

  • Respond to customer interactions directly from within Acteol.

  • Connect multiple social accounts across different platforms.

Creating and scheduling posts

You can compose social media posts directly within the Social Activity module and schedule them to go out at a specific date and time. This allows you to plan your social content in advance and maintain a consistent posting schedule without logging in to each platform separately.

When creating a post you can:

  • Write and preview your post content before publishing.

  • Add images or media to your post.

  • Select which connected social account or accounts to post to.

  • Schedule the post for a future date and time, or publish it immediately.

🤓 Tip: Scheduling posts in advance is particularly effective when coordinating social activity alongside an email campaign. Use both the Campaigns module and the Social Activity module to reach your customers across multiple channels at the same time.

Monitoring social activity

The monitoring feature lets you track what is being said about your brand across your connected social channels. You can set up keyword and hashtag monitoring to capture relevant mentions, even when your account is not directly tagged.

Monitoring helps you:

  • Stay informed about customer sentiment and brand mentions in real time.

  • Identify and respond to customer feedback or complaints quickly.

  • Track the performance of campaign-specific hashtags.

  • Spot trends and conversations relevant to your brand or industry.

The Social Wall

The Social Wall gives you a consolidated view of all incoming social activity across your connected accounts, including: mentions, comments, replies, and direct messages. From the Social Wall you can:

  • See all interactions in a single feed, regardless of which platform they came from.

  • Respond to comments and messages directly without leaving Acteol.

  • Filter activity by account, platform, or interaction type.

  • Mark interactions as reviewed to keep your feed organised.

Social insights

The Social Activity module includes an insights view that gives you a summary of your social performance over a selected date range. Metrics available include:

  • Post reach and impressions.

  • Engagement rates (likes, comments, shares, and clicks).

  • Follower growth over time.

  • Performance breakdown by post and by platform.

📌 Note: Social insights reflect data from your connected social accounts only. Make sure all relevant accounts are connected to get a complete view of your social performance.
