Loyalty module overview

An overview of the Loyalty module, covering how to build and manage digital loyalty programmes, configure points and stamp mechanics, set up reward tiers, run promotions, and track member performance.

Written by Fatma Abid

The Loyalty module enables you to build and manage a fully digital loyalty programme for your customers. Points or stamps are earned and redeemed automatically at the point of sale, and all loyalty activity is recorded in the Single Customer View (SCV), giving you a complete picture of each member's engagement and value.

What you can do

  • Build a points-based or stamp card loyalty programme.

  • Configure earning rules to award points or stamps automatically at EPOS, order and pay, or click and collect.

  • Set up reward tiers with different benefits for each level (for example, Bronze, Silver, and Gold).

  • Create loyalty promotions to reward members with bonus points, stamps, or vouchers.

  • Send push notifications to loyalty app members.

  • View each customer's loyalty balance, history, and tier from their SCV profile.

  • Analyse programme performance using the loyalty dashboard.

Loyalty mechanics

You can configure your loyalty programme to use one of two mechanics:

  • Points-based: Customers earn points for every pound spent or visit made. Points accumulate in their account and can be redeemed against future purchases once a threshold is reached.

  • Stamp cards: Customers earn a stamp for each qualifying visit or purchase. Once a set number of stamps is collected, a reward is automatically issued — for example, a complimentary item or a voucher.

📌 Note: Points and stamps are awarded automatically when a customer's loyalty account is linked to a qualifying transaction at EPOS, order and pay, or click and collect. No manual input is required at the point of sale.

Reward tiers

You can structure your loyalty programme into multiple tiers to reward your most engaged customers and encourage progression. Each tier can have its own:

  • Entry threshold (points, stamps, or spend required to reach the tier).

  • Earning multiplier (for example, Gold members earn two points per pound spent).

  • Exclusive rewards or benefits.

  • Branded name and visual identity.

Loyalty promotions

Loyalty promotions allow you to run time-limited or targeted bonus reward events on top of your standard programme. Examples include:

  • Double points weekends.

  • Bonus stamps for visiting a specific site.

  • Birthday bonus points.

  • First visit after re-engagement reward.

Promotions are created and managed within the Loyalty module and can be targeted to specific customer segments using the SCV data tree.

Push notifications

If your loyalty programme includes a branded mobile app, you can send push notifications directly to members. Push notifications can be used to:

  • Alert members to new promotions or limited-time offers.

  • Notify customers when they have reached a reward threshold.

  • Re-engage lapsed loyalty members.

  • Support time-sensitive campaigns such as last-minute availability.

Loyalty data in the Single Customer View

All loyalty activity is visible on each customer's profile in the SCV, including:

  • Current points or stamp balance.

  • Tier status and progression.

  • Full transaction and earning history.

  • Redeemed and outstanding rewards.

  • Linked vouchers issued through loyalty promotions.

This data can also be used as segmentation criteria in the data tree — for example, targeting members who are close to reaching the next tier, or customers who have not engaged with the programme in the last 90 days.
