Written by Fatma Abid

You can create a new promotion in the Loyalty module by following a four-step setup process. Each step covers a different aspect of the promotion, from general details and scheduling through to promotion type and imagery. Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1: General

  1. From the Modules Menu, click Loyalty, then click Promotion.

  2. Click the blue Create Promotion button at the top of the Promotions page.

  3. If your instance is multi-brand, you will first be asked to select the brand to which the promotion applies.

  4. On the General setup page, complete the following fields:

    • Description: Enter a name for your promotion. This field accepts a maximum of 150 characters.

    • Promotion Code: Enter a code to manage discounts at the tills. If left blank, a code will be automatically generated.

    • Earn Type Configuration: Define how customers earn points or rewards. There are two options:

      • Limited Earn: Customers can earn a specific number of times during the entire promotion.

        • Use the Limit per Customer field to set the maximum number of times a customer can earn points for the duration of the promotion.

      • Multi-Earn: Customers can earn points multiple times for every qualifying action.

        • You can optionally select Set Daily Earning Limit to restrict how many times a customer can earn in a single day.

        • If no limit is applied, customers can earn an unlimited number of times throughout the promotion period.

    • Audience Target: Determine which customers can access and participate in the promotion. There are two options:

      • All Customers: The promotion is available to all customers without any segmentation. It is automatically accessible to every customer and no campaign setup is required.

      • Specific Customer Groups: The promotion is limited to defined segments. These groups are managed and distributed through Campaign Builder using the promotion channel.

⚠️Important: Once customers start interacting with the promotion, you cannot change the Audience Target. If All Customers is selected, the promotion will not appear in Campaign Builder, only promotions with Specific Customer Groups selected are visible there.

    • Order Type: Select the relevant order type where the promotion will apply:

      • Collection

      • Delivery

      • Deposit

      • Hotel Booking

      • InStore

      • Kiosk

      • PayAtTable

      • PreOrder

      • Shop

    • Message: Add a message to be displayed to the staff member validating the voucher, or shown through the relevant display channels.

    • If you are issuing the promotion to customers at different times, you can also set a validity period (in days) so that each customer has a specific time window from the date they receive the promotion.

    • Locations: Choose whether the offer is available at specific locations or all locations.

🤓Tip: To specify locations, start typing the location name in the text box and select it from the dropdown list. To apply the promotion to all locations, select the All Locations option.

    • Schedule: You can specify the days and times during which the promotion can be redeemed (for example, 9:00–17:00 on weekdays).
