Click the modules left-hand menu
icon.Click Real Time Events, or towards the bottom of the menu click More, then click Real Time Events.
To create a new event, click the Add Event button.
From the popup you will have four key steps.
General
The general step is for the general setup of your real-time event.
From the brand dropdown, select the brand you want to apply the real-time event for.
Enter a name for your real-time event. This will appear on the homepage of real-time events.
From the Event Trigger dropdown, select the to specify what API will be used to trigger your action.
Contact: Contact creation and updating contact details.
Customer: Contact creation and updating contact details
Hotel Booking: Receiving contacts hotel bookings.
Reservation: Receiving contacts table reservations.
Survey: Receiving contacts survey/feedback responses.
Transaction: Receiving transactional data.
Visit: Receiving data when a contact has made a visit to a location
From the Event Trigger Method dropdown, you will have the available trigger methods related to the previously chosen event trigger, select the relevant option.
Click Save.
Campaign
This step is for the real time event creation, which is similar to how you would build a campaign within campaign builder.
Enter a title for the campaign, this will appear in automated campaigns once set live.
Select the relevant sender profile.
β οΈImportant: Only service profiles will be available. This means the campaign will disregard any marketing opt-ins unless specified in the API.
Select which channel you would like to use to deliver your campaign.
Email
SMS
Push Notifications
Web Push Notifications
Custom List
To set an exclusion rule, by Send only one communication per customer, select the tick box.
A Day.
A Week.
Every 2 Weeks.
Every 3 Weeks.
A Month.
A Quarter.
Every 6 Months.
A Year.
β οΈImportant: Without exclusion rules, contacts could receive the real-time event campaign every time it cycles, potentially every hour if they were eligible to receive it again.
Also, the campaign details cannot be changed at a later stage, the only detail you can update is the campaign's design, thus it's important to add all the setup details correctly.
Proceed with setting up your campaign. The campaign will have these steps:
Create: Set the campaign's title, category and add a voucher if required.
Voucher: If you've added a voucher to your campaign, add the voucher details.
Sender: Add the subject line, preheader and UTM codes if needed.
Design: Select the relevant template design to your campaign.
Schedule: Set the schedule details of your campaign.
Click Submit For Approval.
πNote: If you wish to personalise your campaign content, you can only do this with the data that has been included within the API call. Export fields can be applied to your content the same way as in campaign builder.
Export fields available will be dependent on the API being used and what is being sent in the API call.
Rules Setup
Apply a set of rules or conditions that need to be met for the real-time event to be triggered. This ensures that the campaign is specifically for that type of action and from a specific third party.
From the displayed items on the left side, drag across the attributes you want to use as conditions.
For each attribute, select from the displayed dropdown whether it should be:
Included in.
Not included in.
Contains.
Starts with.
Is equal to.
Is not equal to.
Is empty.
Is not empty.
In the text box next to the previous dropdown, write the relevant value.
To join any other attributes, simply drag and drop the chosen items into the selection section
π€Tip: The choice of operations is important:
And
operation: If you use And between the selected criteria, the returned contacts match all specified criteria.
Or
operation: If you use Or between the selected criteria, the returned contacts match any one of the specified criteria.
Click Save.
πNote: The rules and conditions you set up for the real-time event will be dependent on the API used that was set up in your first step. Refer to Atreemo API documentation for more details on the fields that can be used.
Activation
Rules Setup options
From this step, you're almost finalising the process of your real-time event creation.
Activate Real-Time Event immediately: If you select this, the real-time event will be sending immediately. This can be actioned only if your campaign was approved.
Real-time events will be active only during this period:β If you select this, you will have the option to specify a date range to have the real-time event active for.
Click the calendar
icon to set the date.Click the clock
icon to set the time. Start Date: The end date and time of the real-time event.
End Date: The end date and time of the real-time event.
Status Updates History
This section provides a real-time timeline of status changes for the real-time event, allowing you to track updates and actions taken by different team members. It includes:
The date and time of the update.
The details of the user who did the update.
The update details, this usually reflect the status update.
If you've added any modifications, click Save and Close.
If you didn't make any modifications to update, click the close button.
The real-time event you've created should be live once you finish all these steps.
