When designing a journey, you can add campaigns across several channels. The channels available to you depend on your data schema and the modules included in your Acteol Enterprise package.
đNote: Not all channels are available to every customer. Contact your account manager to confirm which channels are enabled for your account.
Available channels
Send a personalised email campaign to contacts in the journey. Email is the most commonly used channel in Journey Builder and supports dynamic content, export fields, and voucher codes.
SMS
Send a text message to contacts who have a valid mobile number recorded in their contact record. SMS campaigns are useful for time-sensitive communications such as booking reminders or short promotional offers.
Push notifications
Send a notification directly to a contact's mobile device via your app. Push notifications require the contact to have opted in through the app.
Web push
Send a notification to contacts through their web browser. Web push requires the contact to have accepted browser notification permissions on your website.
Custom list
Export a list of contacts at a specific point in the journey to an external system or third-party integration. This channel is commonly used for:
SLP (Scheduled Loyalty Programme): An Enterprise-only feature that allows you to award loyalty points or stamps to contacts as part of a journey.
External targeting platforms: Sending contact data to a third-party platform for targeting purposes.
đNote: Custom list is an Enterprise-only feature. Speak to your account manager to confirm availability.
Facebook ad
Include a Facebook ad audience as the final step in a journey. This allows you to target contacts who have reached the end of the journey with a Facebook ad campaign.
Before you can use Facebook ad in Journey Builder, you must:
Build the Facebook ad in Audience Management.
Turn on the Use for journey builder toggle when creating the Facebook ad.
â ď¸Important: Facebook ads can only be placed at the end of a journey. They cannot be added as an intermediate step.
