To integrate Google Wallet with your account, follow these steps.
Get a Google Wallet API issuer ID
β οΈImportant: An Issuer ID is necessary to create and distribute passes for Google Wallet.
Sign up for Google Pay and Wallet Console.
From the console menu, click Google Wallet API and click Build your first pass.
Accept the terms of service, to be redirected to the Google Pay & Wallet Console, where your Issuer ID will be displayed.
Copy and paste your Issuer ID to a place where you can access it later.
π€Tip: The Issuer ID is on the top of the page, near Google Wallet API.
Enable the Google Wallet API
Log in to the Google Cloud Platform. If you donβt already have a GCP project, create one.
To enable the Google Wallet API for your project, click Enable.
Create a new service account and certificate
Create a service account in the Google Cloud Console and provide the needed details:
A service account name. Example: GoogleWallet.
A service account ID. Example: GoogleWallet -account.
After entering the Service account ID, copy and paste the service account email address to a place where you can access it later.
π€Tip: It will be formatted similarly to: [email protected].
Click Create and Continue, then click Done.
Select your new service account from the list.
Go to the Keys tab, or click and select Manage keys.
Click Add Keys and select Create new key.
Click Add Keys and select Create new key.
Authorise the service account
It is important to authorise the service account to call the Google Wallet API. To action this, follow the steps to grant the service account access to manage your issuer account.
Open the Google Pay and Wallet Console.
Go to Users and click Invite a user.
Enter the service account email address.
Select the Developer access level.
Click Invite.
