Add a split test to your campaign

The Split Test feature allows you to compare multiple variations of your email or SMS campaigns to determine which performs best in achieving your objectives. This functionality is available only for Email and SMS channels.

Add a split test to your campaign

Split testing helps you compare multiple variations of your campaign to identify which performs best. You can create up to 6 variations and control how your audience is distributed across them.

To add a split test to your campaign, follow the below steps:

  1. Open your campaigns, then navigate to the draft campaign you want to edit and click Create.

  2. On the right-hand side, click the Split Test dropdown.

  3. Select the number of variations. You can create up to 6 different variations of your campaign.

    πŸ“ŒNote: Depending on the chosen number of splits, you will have the versions number displayed.

  4. To set the audience percentages, adjust the split percentage for each version to control how many customers receive each version.

    πŸ“ŒNote: The versions' total percentage will be always to 100%

  5. Click Save & Continue, then on the Sender step, complete the setup for each version.

    πŸ€“Tip: Your view will be divided into tabs labelled V1, V2, V3...

  6. Click Next, then on the Design setup step select the relevant template to use and finalise your usual email campaign setup.

πŸ€“Tip: If after applying the design you wanted to edit it, click the edit design icon.


Add a Test and Learn split test to your campaign

You can use the Test and Learn option to send a small percentage of your audience different variations of your campaign. After measuring performance, the best-performing version will automatically be send to the remaining audience.

To add a split test to your campaign, follow the below steps:

  1. Open your campaigns, then navigate to the draft campaign you want to edit and click Create.

  2. On the right-hand side, click the Split Test dropdown.

  3. Select Test and Learn and from the displayed popup, finish the setup:

    1. Select the number of variations. You can create up to 6 different variations of your campaign.

    2. Set the audience percentage of the initial send.

    3. Add the number of the delay days.

    πŸ“ŒNote: The versions' total percentage will be always to 100%

  4. From the decision dropdown, choose the relevant option for you:

    • Most viewed: The campaign version that had more views, will finish the send.

    • Most clicked: The campaign version that had more views, will finish the send.

    • Most visited: The campaign version that had more triggered visits, will finish the send.

  5. Click Apply, then click Save & Continue.

    πŸ€“Tip: You will have a summary of your configuration for the test and learn split test.

  6. On the Sender step, complete the setup for each version.

  7. Click Next, then on the Design setup step select the relevant template to use and finalise your usual email campaign setup.
