View the covers insights

If you've integrated with a booking platform, you can view insights and related reports for the covers information in few easy steps.

To view the insights and related reports for the covers information, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Insights, then click Covers.

  2. Review the required reports:

πŸ€“Tip: If you have multiple brands, a pop-up will appear asking you to select a brand to view. The "All Brands" option will only pull data if you have created an "All Brands" instance in SCV.

Definition

Total covers reports

  • Total Covers: A week-by-week breakdown of the number of covers, including complete bookings and the no-shows, in comparison to the same period last year.

  • Total Covers (Excludes Walk-ins): The number of booked covers based on the visit date, compared to the same week the year before.

The cancelled or no-show bookings in the historical data are automatically removed.

Reservations used for matching

The circumstances under which Acteol can match a reservation to a transaction.

​This is only possible if the following data is provided by:

  • The booking platform:

  • Number of people/covers.

  • Table number.

  • Person who has booked.

  • Date.

  • Time.

  • POS:

    • The table number.

    • Number of covers.

    • Day and time.

    • Location.

If the data is provided within 30 minutes of each other, when the table opens on the POS, Acteol matches the transaction to the booking.

Ave covers

Displays the average number of covers collected bookings week on week.

Covers split by type (Excludes Walkins)

A week-by-week breakdown of the number of covers of complete bookings, only excluding the walk-ins, with a comparison to the same period last year for existing and new customers.

% Of known customers - Covers/known visitors

The percentage of identified contacts compared to all booked covers. It's covers vs tracked visits.

Origin Of The Booking

The booking origin highlights where your reservations are coming from, giving you clear visibility into your most effective booking sources and helping you understand which channels drive the most value.

You can also save or export the data, via following the steps below:

  1. To the right of the required chart's name, click the menu icon.

  2. To save the image of the chart, click Save as PNG.

  3. To download the data, click View Data, then click Export to Excel.

  • Age Bands

  • Gender

  • Segment

  • Origin Of The Booking

  • Sites

  • Region
